Recently, the association announced the latest passenger car sales data.Data show that in January 2022, the retail sales of passenger cars by major manufacturers decreased by 4% year-on-year, while the wholesale sales of passenger cars increased by 2% year-on-year, showing a stable market performance.Data showed that in the first week of January (1-9), the average daily retail sales of passenger vehicles by major manufacturers were 57,835 units, up 6% year on year.In the second week (October 10-16), major manufacturers sold 62,867 units per day, down 2% year on year.In the third week (17-23), the average daily retail sales of major manufacturers increased to 85,741 units, up 28% year on year.In the fourth week (24-31), the average daily retail sales volume was 66,180 units, down 32% year-on-year.In January 2022, the average daily retail sales volume of major manufacturers was 67,426 units, down 4% year-on-year and 1% from December.This year, as the Spring Festival is advanced to February 1, the last week of January has entered the Spring Festival atmosphere, which has a great impact on the overall sales of automobiles, resulting in a decline in sales in January compared with the same period last year.In terms of wholesale sales of passenger vehicles, the average daily wholesale sales of passenger vehicles by major manufacturers in January were 66,829 units, up slightly by 2% year-on-year.Wholesale sales fell 12 per cent compared with December.
